Set Up 8K IPTV on Firestick

Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube and Fire TV smart TVs

This guide covers Amazon Fire TV devices: the Fire TV Stick range, Fire TV Cube and TVs with Fire TV built in. Plan for around ten to fifteen minutes the first time.

1. Update the Fire TV software

Go to Settings > My Fire TV > About and choose Check for Updates. Install anything waiting. Apps install and stream more reliably on current software.

2. Pick a player app

8K IPTV Streaming does not have its own app. You use an IPTV player that accepts an Xtream Codes login or an M3U link, for example IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate. Availability in the Amazon Appstore varies by country, so if you cannot find one, ask us and we will suggest an alternative.

Some players are free, others charge for premium features. Any app charge goes to the app developer, not to us.

3. Install the player

From the Amazon Appstore

1. On the home screen, open Find and choose Search.
2. Type the player name with the on-screen keyboard.
3. Open the result and select Get.

With Downloader, if the app is not in the store

1. Install the free Downloader app from the Appstore.
2. Open Settings > My Fire TV > Developer options > Install unknown apps and switch Downloader on. If Developer options is hidden, go to Settings > My Fire TV > About and press select on the device name seven times.
3. In Downloader, type the download address published on the app developer’s own website. Do not use links from unknown sources.
4. Install, then choose Delete on the installer file to save space.

4. Enter your 8K IPTV Streaming login

1. Open the player and choose to add a new user or playlist.
2. Select Xtream Codes (also called Xtream API) if we sent a server, username and password. Select M3U URL if we sent a single link.
3. Type the details exactly. Check for capital letters and stray spaces.
4. Save, then wait while the app downloads the channel list and library.

5. Watch and load the guide

Open Live TV and choose a channel group. With an Xtream login the program guide normally fills in on its own. If it stays empty, find Refresh EPG or Update guide in the app settings and wait a few minutes.

Getting the best picture on Fire TV

• 4K streams need a 4K-capable Fire TV model connected to a 4K TV. Fire TV sticks do not output 8K.
• Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi or an Amazon Ethernet adapter for a steadier stream.
• If the stick slows down, clear the player cache in Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications.
• Restart from Settings > My Fire TV > Restart when streams start stuttering after days of use.
